US congress at stake as millions to vote in midterm elections

Millions of Americans will vote in the midterm elections on Tuesday, with the balance of power in Congress at stake. The entire US House of Representatives, roughly one-third of the US Senate, and key state governorships are all at stake.

Mr. Biden rallied voters in Maryland, & Republican ex-President Trump did the same in Ohio on the closing day of the rallies.

Currently, Democrats are controlling both chambers of Congress and the White House by thin margins.

During the rallies, Democrats argued that the Republicans outlaw abortion nationwide & risk democracy if they win the midterm elections.

Republicans, however, claim that the public is tired of Biden’s policies in the face of high inflation and crime fears.

Mr. Biden told the media outside the White House: “I think we’ll win the Senate. I think the House is tougher.”

“If you want to stop the destruction of our country and save the American dream, then tomorrow you must vote Republican in the massive red wave that we all are hearing about,” Trump said at a rally in Ohio.

Mr. Trump’s party needs only five seats to flip the House and one seat to take control of the Senate.

Trump’s party is excited about the prospect of winning back Congress. If Republicans win the Senate, they will give a hard time to Biden’s administration with the amendments.

Over 43.5 million early votes have already been cast, according to the US midterm elections Project.

However, it might take days or weeks before the outcome of the midterms is known, as ballot casting time varies from state to state, and there may be a recount.
